*Kiliyen can feel his muscles beginning to tremble for the exertion and his ribs are extremely sore from it all. Almost unnoticeable, Kiliyen's vision is getting a bit blurry, not that he has much to look at besides rocks*

*The rubble above and below them shifts suddenly and gives way, sending them both tumbling amonst the rocks. A foul stench greets them, hailing a small but passable gap at the top of the archway. Before they can make use of it, however, rats begin scurrying through the hole and attacking*

-Maddy rubs her head as the headache begins and as the rubble shifts she staggers back and her eyes widen as the rats come through the hole and as they start attacking instead of fleeing in fear of seeing humans she screams and starts stepping on them trying to crush them before they can bite her, though they would only taste her boots-

*Kiliyen finds the rats hard to focus on, his vision getting steadily worse, but he succeeds in cutting them to pieces. Unfortunately, more keep coming, and it is apparent (if kiliyen could see them, but Maddy can) that they are starving, and have been attacking each other as well. Many of the rats have wounds from other rats*

*Maddy successfully stomps the rats that she stomps, and her boots do effectively protect her feet and legs. She soon finds, however, that they are leaping at her and attempting to climb her clothing*

*Scum-Monkey hisses and takes flight, having trouble in the close quarters and fighting off two rats that managed to get onto him before he escaped. Knocks one rat off, and kills the other. Landing on an overhead beam he looks down at the fray, then begins eating the rat he killed*

*The rats scatter and flee, finding the prey too hard to bring down. The hole at the top of the archway sits clear now, the stench clearing. Unfortunately, the pair are now seriously suffering the effects of the poison. Kiliyen can barely see, and starts getting stomach cramps. (you really better sleep this time.) Maddy is somewhat better off, though her shoulder is seeping, the wounds having broken open.*

*Closes his eyes and leans against the wall, then slides down to sit on the step as the cramping gets worse. Grits his teeth, trying not to pant because that hurts his ribs, but then gives in because it's the only way he can breathe. Doubles over on the stair, holding his gut*

All but two of the torches have burned out, but when they awaken, they will again feel very highly refreshed, very vigorous. It will fade quickly however, and they will tire more easily than ever*

*The stairs turn again, and again, and finally open out on a hallway. These are clearly dungeon cells. Some of the cells are open and empty, some of the doors are closed. Towards the end on the floor lie the well-cleaned bones of a man, the bones and pieces of armor dragged about by the rats. Nearby lies his battle axe*

*Some cells are open and empty. The closed ones have small observation slits cut in the door. Some doors are locked, and when they look in these, they usually see the dead remains of what used to be a person*

*As they reach the end of the hall where the dead soldier lies, they find something quite different. Inside the cell, chained to the wall by her wrists, stands a very pretty young woman with blonde hair. Her dress in not the least bit tattered, and it is clean*

*As the light of the torch hits the little window, she turns to look at the door with an expression of disbelief and urgency. She calls out, her voice tremulous and frightened* Hello? Hello!! Please! Oh please! In here. Help me, please!
