No, I won't be dying. Thank you. *He leans his head back against the wall and closes his eyes, welcoming the chance to rest, but then opens his eyes once more to keep watch lest something sneaks up on them*

*Maddy sleeps for a good two hours before waking to feel quite refreshed, though her shoulder is probably a bit stiff*
*Nothing sneaks up on them as they rest, and Kiliyen feels better for the rest as well, though still somewhat tired. The faintest beginning of a headache sits behind his eyes*

-Maddy stirs and stretches on Kiliyen. She gives a hearty yawn and rubs her eyes looking around where they are and in remembering she touches her shoulder gently feeling the bleeding has stopped and probably scabbed over now she sits up and looks at Kiliyen-

It nae be bleedin' now and bruised I be thinkin' K'ant see it -she tries to see it but it is still bound and in a bad position for her to see- Best ta leave it be while it heals I thinks. -She gets off Kiliyen and stretches again-

*Winces slightly as he helps her rise, but as much to try to protect his ribs from the pressure as to help her. He stands himself and straightens his clothing, looking down the stairs*
You still game to keep going down? *He fingers his empty scabbard with his left hand, sorely regretting the loss of his sword*

I should nae of healed it ye know. -she looks around making sure they still have plenty of light to see, her hand squeezing back, shaking a bit but not wanting to give into any fears she has, she always a strong lassie with a strong will to live-

Yes, it's a definite plus. *He reaches up and lifts a torch from the bracket. He, too, has a flint for lighting a fire, and he lights this torch* I think it might be good too, to light these as we go. In case we need to move fast later.

-Frowns at the rubble and looks towards the voice of scum-monkey- Yeah well ye coulda cleared the way you waste of flesh. -starts digging in the rubble- 'course he couldn't do dat it'd be ta easy and we might be livin' but nae he had ta make it harder the slimball...-she mutters trying to make a path big enough for them to fit through- course it cannae be one o'those doors that would be ta easy. -she babbles on so she dun go after the creature and kill it now-

Didnae say it would laddie but we save strength and move faster if two do the chore. Remember, I'm used ta hard labor, I work at a tavern and tend all those blasted animals and the fields, I nae some high born lady that sews all day.

I dun wanna be carrying ye back dead now. -she moves at a slower steady pace hoping to break through this soon- I think that be what it wants though -she says so only he can hear- us dead when it be done.

*Kiliyen would indeed be feeling the effects since he didn't sleep. His headache is getting worse and he is tiring much more quickly than he would otherwise*
*The pair seem to be making good progress, but a small avalanche of additional rubble from above the archway on the other side fills what cavity they had made*

*Pauses when Maddy stops him, then nods silently, grudgingly accepting the advice. Keeps working then but says quietly* I think we'll keep getting a bit worse and worse anyway, no matter what we do.
*Growls in frustration as the rubble slides down and keeps moving the rubble steadily* I just want to get this over with. For all we know, we only have so much longer.
