*He looks at her uncertainly, then adds, still whispering* I don't blame you if you don't want to.

*The creature shifts position once more then opens its wings and 'flutters' to the ground, landing heavily. Pushing itself to its feet, it sways, looking at Maddy and Kiliyen. The nictitating membranes of its eyes cover one quarter of its eyes and the wounds its chest continue to weep blood. Its voice is a soft hiss, at once a plea and a demand* Heal me.

-Maddy looks at the vile thing and moves towards it knowing the worst it can do now is kill her and she is already dying anyway since the salve didn't pull the posions free of her blood. She raises her hands and they glow a deep blue and she without touching the creature sends the healing energy into it letting it heal the wounds from the inside out and seal them before lowering her hands and turning away and walking silently from the stables with her head down feeling defeated-

*Fingers his blade, glaring at the creature, but doesn't interfere with Maddy as she heals the thing. He looks at her, though, as she turns to leave, torn between stopping her and letting her return to the tavern while he settles things with the beast*
Maddy? Are you all right? *Immediately after, he snorts softly at his own stupidity, and he looks at her, pained*

-She looks at Kiliyen her eyes full of tears and pain that not many would ever see in her eyes and she whispers to him so the creature can't hear her- I k'an heal tha' thing but nae us laddie. -she bites her lip and walks out of the stable doors and sits outside on the ground staring at the back of the tavern-

*He nods and walks over to her, tucking his sword up so he can squat in front of her* I know, Maddy. That's because of the curse it put on us. I sure wouldn't have asked you to heal the bloody thing if we didn't need it to find a cure. *He smiles faintly, encouragingly* You may have saved us both just now, you know.

-She lets out a long breath then wipes her eyes and looks at him- Miss Ceph, she taught me ta heal an in doin' so she granted me a power that could be deadly....I didnae wish to heal it. Fer once in m'life I wanted ta kill something in more than defense -she says sadly- K'an I kill it when this be done? -she looks at him very seriously-

*He pauses, then nods very slightly. Taking a deep breath, he says* I for one certainly intend to try. *He holds his hand out to her, offering to help her to her feet* The sooner we get started, the better off we'll be.

-She nods and sighs taking his hand and standing, accepting her fate as it is with a man she doesn't even know by a creature that drew her into this, she closes her eyes and draws on her inner strength before going with him-

-she walks to the two stalls and opens the doors guiding the horses out- These. -she grabs a saddle bag and saddle and begins readying hers before she slips off to the Inn to collect her healing things and scribbling a note to Laurana and Gem telling them of the curse she has been bestowed and that she must do this vile creatures bidding before she can return here....if she lives...with that done she grabs her own change of clothing and her daggers and short sword strapping them on and returning to the stables ready to leave-

You said that this was bound to me because of the blood spilled. It shouldn't be able to bind her. *looks at the creature, clearly expecting an explanation*

*The creature merely stares back at him for a moment before replying* You just watch and decide for yourself whether or not it has bound her. And think this too - how well do you know her? Maybe she is not the innocent lady you think she it. Maybe she is not even very nice.
*It looks to Maddy as she returns* Are we ready now? One would think you two would rather perish here on the doorstep.

-She mounts her horse not bothering to even look at the creature and pulls her hood up over her head and guides the horse from the stables stopping and waiting outside for Kiliyen and the creature, not trusting herself to not say something to prompt the creatures anger at her-

*Scum-monkey exits the barn and immediately takes to the air, flying north. It lands in the trees just beyond the clearing that surrounds the tavern, heading in a direction that no one ever travels, well away from any regular pathways that lead to the tavern. There it sits and waits for them*

*Without waiting for the pair to catch up, it flies deeper into the woods, landing on yet another branch to wait. It repeats this process so long as they are willing to follow it. As the day wanes, the failing light makes the creature harder and harder to make out*

*Reigns in his horse and looks at Maddy* Do we keep following that thing in the dark, or shall we stop and rest for the night? I'm none too wild about walking into a trap in the dark, but I don't know how much time we have to spare. What do you think?

-Maddy helps tend the horses removing the saddles for the night and letting them roam so they can eat and curls up under her own blanket and sleeps trying not to think of that damn creature, scum-monkey that it is-

*As they brush their horses, the pair finds their arms quickly get fatigued. Switching arms doesn't help as much as it should. If you finish brushing them anyway you will barely be able to move your arms until the next morning*
