*Skewered by both, it flaps the leathered wings, beating them both as it pulls itself from the tines and sword. Hopping backwards like a wounded crow it speaks once more. This time its voice is like dried leather, rasping and chill*

*Taking several good whacks from the wings, it is still not enough to stun him, though his left shoulder is badly torn with a triple set of gashes, top, side and front*
With the black creature retreating, Kiliyen turns his attention to Maddy, deeply concerned and feeling utterly responsible. Pained by the wounds he sees, he is nevertheless comforted by the fact that she is alert and looking around, so he looks back at the creature, glaring at it and trying to gauge whether its wounds are enough to finish it off*

*The creature is bleeding from four wounds. One wound is clearly only a graze - it is from the third tine of the pitchfork. Two tines and the sword scored well in its chest and side*
*As the shock of the attack wears off, both Kiliyen and Maddy (unless you changed your mind Maddy) will soon feel a burning in the wounds. A heavy dizziness will make your heads swim and though your vision is not affected, the dizziness makes it hard to think about what you are seeing*

*Still with the dry rasping voice it states very simply* I have poisoned you with your own crime. It is a slow poison. Right now, all you should be feeling is dizzy. That will pass.
As the poison progresses, you will begin to suffer other things. Fatigue, burning in the muscles, and eventually you will start getting cramps. Such things will come and go. Exertion will bring them on. Rest will make them go.
Towards the end, you will start having difficulty swallowing and breathing. Death, if you do not fulfill the binding, will come by either heart attack when the heart itself cramps, or by suffocation when your lungs cease to function.

I'll deal with it later. I think its hurt enough it won't be going anywhere. *He puts his arm around her shoulders to help her to the tavern*

-Maddy gives the creature a one finger salute and lets Kiliyen lead her into the Inn and she gets her healing basket pulling out the drawing salve sitting Kiliyen down and putting it on the cuts, then gives him the salve to put on hers, looking hopeful that it will work-

If'n there are no riches fine but if'n there are, I be thinkin' some ta compensate a poor woman for the wrong done 'er is fair.
