Once again Eldorin sought out Corbin unbidden, his reality growing still firmer and more certain. Finding Corbin, Eldorin asked him what he had done. Grudgingly, Corbin admitted that Draegon had given him permission to make his tormentors sorry, and so he had crafted a spell.

Quietly, Eldorin told him that the spell was too strong, that the monster was destroying more than the two villains, and Eidolon was suffering. Corbin agreed, but explained that he couldn’t stop it now because it was a full spell, properly cast and cemented with music. Not knowing to refute this, Eldorin nodded sadly.

Together they returned to the Realm of Eidolon, and Corbin began tracking the Wild Hate in order to keep it from killing innocent people. Unable to defeat the beast, he discussed the problem with Gem Bluestone. Gem suggested that to truly stop it, he would have to learn to forgive. Dismayed, Corbin saw the truth of this, but pointed out that he was quite simply incapable of doing so. Gem comforted him and said it would become easier with time.

Eventually, (though it still manages to escape upon occassion), Corbin was able to contain the Wild Hate within the deeper levels of the catacombs beneath Castle Eidolon. There it prowls the dark waiting for a victim, or a new chance to escape. Corbin currently lives in Castle Eidolon, and when he leaves, Eldorin guards the castle with his magical vines, utilizing them to keep peace and to ensure the privacy of Corbin's tower.
