Like all young children, Corbin delighted in games of fantasy, but - unlike them - Corbin's fantasies took physical form. So long as Corbin believed in it, his eidolons, his figments of imagination, became real. Some were simple fabrications that melted away like the morning dew, but others were much harder, if not impossible, to dispell.
Highly social, Corbin found himself lonely much of the time as the other children became shy of the strange events that always seemed to overtake their play - not only did Corbin's light and airy daydreams become real, but his dark and frightening nightmares did as well. The Realm of Eidolon took form slowly and even Corbin doesn't know just when it truly began, but he returned to his private world more and more frequently as he was forced to play alone. The realm gained a powerful boost towards substance when Corbin created Eldorin as his imaginary playmate, visualizing him as living in Castle Eidolon when they are not together. Far from ordinary, Eldorin has magic of his own and he is as thoroughly linked to plants and to the Realm of Eidolon as Gem Bluestone was tied to Draegon. Eldorin's vines are an integral part of Castle Eidolon, defending both the castle and its residents.
